We make every batch by hand at our shop in Camdenton, Missouri. First, we heat the water and melt the oils. Next, we blend them until thick and creamy. Then we add each scent and fill the jars. Because we work in small batches, every jar gets the same hands-on care.

What Is In This Lotion

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Emulsifying Wax, Fragrance (Parfum), Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

In plain terms: water, coconut oil, shea butter, emulsifying wax, fragrance, a gentle preservative, and vitamin E. Phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol make up that preservative. Together, they keep a water-based lotion safe to use. No beef tallow, no lard, no lanolin, and no goat or other mammalian milk.

About the Glycerin

Glycerin is hard to pin down if you avoid mammalian products. It can come from plants or from beef fat, and labels rarely say which. So we keep it simple: we add no glycerin to this lotion at all.
